May 22, 2024
by [Jim Voss](https://blog.hydrochemsystems.com/author/jim-voss)
We are thrilled to announce that Hydro-Chem Systems (HCS), a leading provider of fleet washing solutions based in West Michigan, has been selected as one of [Michigan’s '50 Companies to Watch'!](https://michigancelebrates.org/about-our-awards/)
This wonderful recognition comes from Michigan Celebrates Small Business (MCSB), highlighting our dedication to innovation, growth, and exceptional service in the industry. Our leadership team, representing all of our employee-owners, attended the 20th annual Michigan Celebrates Small Business Gala on May 21, 2024, where we were honored alongside [other outstanding companies](https://michigancelebrates.org/mcsb-awardees/).
As a 100% employee-owned business, this recognition is a proud moment for us, a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team at HCS. It not only reflects the growth we've experienced over the past few years and our dedication to providing top-notch solutions to our clients, but also supports our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
HCS has been in the fleet washing industry for over 50 years, manufacturing automated fleet wash systems, developing innovative cleaning chemicals, and providing exceptional service to thousands of fleets across the country.
### About the Award:
The 2024 Michigan 50 Companies to Watch award recipients were evaluated by the demonstration of intent and capacity to grow on several factors ranging from sales growth to sustainable competitive advantage.
These companies have made a substantial collective economic impact, including $414.3 million in total annual revenue during 2023, and are projected to increase their revenue by 18% in 2024. Together they provide 1,577 full-time equivalent employees, 1,565 within Michigan, and are projected to create over 339 new jobs in 2024.
Michigan Celebrates Small Business receives hundreds of nominations for this prestigious award each year, making the selection process highly competitive. The chosen companies undergo rigorous due diligence before final decisions are made.
### Thank You:
As we celebrate the achievements of HCS and other award recipients at the 20th annual Michigan Celebrates Small Business Gala, we are reminded of the resilience and innovation within Michigan's small business sector. Congratulations to all the winners for their dedication and leadership, inspiring us all and driving our state's economy forward!
